Glenda shuttled me up toward Union Pass so I could get more of the route covered.
The Union Pass road was closed at the pass  and continental divide, according to fire info at the forest boundary, though I think we did see a familar divide rider heading down. We speculate he snuck  though; Not something I wanted to do, as got my dose of smoke climbing Togwotee Pass, and with the gusty weather out of the north the last couple of days would push the fire toward the alternative route and up the pass.
With this ride and the Togwotee Pass ride, I think I missed only 2 days of riding and 71 miles of the route.

The ride today was a pretty staight forward day, lots of pavement, net downhill, though did have significant cross wind blowing me around.

Hung out at the nice American Legion park and crafted this blog before meeting Glenda, Karen, and Dennis at the Wind River Brewing Co. after their hike.

Tomorrow, Glenda heads back to the Springs, and I continue along the route. I will miss her company and am grateful for all she has done to help these first couple weeks. I hope to see her in Breckenridge and on then the tail end of this adventure in NM.
Going forward, our  friends Karen and Dennis will parallel the route with me and we will tent camp together along the way for a week or so until Steamboat. This include some very empty, dry and remote lands of the Divide Basin
